Anyone do much work on BFT or other electric gates? Got a client with prexisting gates which keep tripping the breaker when they try and close lifted inspection cover and motors are surrounded by earth! Right up to glads on the casings water ingress the issue? Soemtimes they work for a couple of days other times not at all.

Sounds like an ingress issue, especially if the gates are old-ish.

Best thing is to isolate the gates and maybe IR test on the feed out from the house.

Thats my thoughts too i think they just need a good clean and service and perhaps the joints re waterproofing with new glands etc. Was hoping to find someone who had experience of BFT and could do the job.....
