Hi, got my test booked next week and I assume it is full of h&s questions so should be relatively straight forward to pass has anyone done it recently can give us a clue?
Also what happens when passing test do you have to apply for card or do you get it after the test?
Thanks.

It's the easiest test you'll ever have to do. Most of it is common sense, just refresh yourself on fire extinguishers colours and what type of fire they are used on.

It's the same type of questions as the H&S in the 2330 so don't panic, if your doing well in college you'll be fine on the cscs test.

got my ecs health & safety next week and downloaded questions and answers off ecs website. once passed(which you will) get results in 2 weeks, send it off along with proof of qualifications you have and another 36 quid, then in 4 weeks you"ll recieve your card

Remember if there's a fire you need to go to the muster station, not the canteen or home.
If you spot anything you think might be unsafe, tell a grown-up.

You don't get your card straight away but you get a certificate if you've passed, which you send off.

That's with the CSCS, which is a bit like rocking up and having a go on a pub quiz machine. The ECS is more of an exam situation; you get the results a few weeks later.

Ollie I think sitting your ECS test, not CSCS would be more beneficial.

If a scaffold collapses, whats the minimum height where it becomes reportable...?

Yeah at college they told us the 2330 H&S questions were aimed at apprentices so they should tell the sparky they're working with or supervisor.
Of course in the real world if you came across an appliance with a damaged plug or an extension with a damaged flex you'd just repair it yourself, but that's not the answer they're looking for.

Me to, but it is over £200 :( I dont have that kind of cash spare right now so CSCS is a start, if I can start earning soon then I will defo go down that route but it is too expensive right now.

ecs health and safety test £42 send results off with proof of qualifications and £36 to get card
The website I found "took care of it all for you" from just £200+, will I get a refund from my CSCS test if I cancel now?
I dont have any quals yet either, so is there any point in applying for ECS until I have completed my level 2? Not sure if I would get trainee card if I dont have a job yet?

google ecs health & safety test and download their application form, probably best to get qualifications first cuz they put em on the card, dont need a job to get 1. not sure about refund for cscs but probably not, ecs dont refund unless you dont turn up cuz your dead!
