is there any sparkys working for them selves making any money lol spoke to 5 different sparks over last few weeks in wholesalers and they are all struglling to make a wage someone give us some positives ha ha

i'm working for nack all at the minute. but it's for the parents, so i don't mind (gritted teeth).

Hit and miss, had to turn to the agencies.

not too bad at the mo. had a bad summer, very quiet, but picked up lately.

the question ,who would you have to do your electrical work

someone with company name on work gear and signs on van
and business cards


or a man in a unmarked white van

i got another mate who is the white van guy, and he is finding it hard to get work

ps i hate agencies they should get rid of them, ive applied and called up or loads of job they never get back to you, andi even do a follow up call, and you get the same old crap off them

well, that's me at the minute. just had van signed in october. it died in november, had to get another van. maybe the signing was a jinx.

Just winding down for christmas, got a few bits to keep busy for a week at least, if i don't get anything else come in now i'll take the time to finish my workshop its only been 12 months since i started it , got a 2nd fix to do in january as long as the spreads have finished

New calls tailed off recently but still have plenty of existing work to catch up on.

Been flat out all year. Think I had one week this year with less than 3 days work. I've got a good source though, a kitchen bathroom firm that does about 50 high spec installs a year (mostly in 500k+ houses) That accounts for a little over half my turnover.
Like someone else said...its all about who you know. Where you live helps too.
