Been in Electric Center a fair bit recently and got talking to their staff about the TIS (Test Instrument Solutions) test equipment they stock. Looking at some of the products they seem reasonable (multimeter, clamp meter, earth leakage clamp).
Has anyone any experience of this brand? I've always used fluke gear but after a recent theft I'm left needing to replace some items.
Thanks

No I wouldn't have said they are particularly cheap, the specs looked reasonable and because of discount at the wholesaler it brought the price down to a reasonable amount.
Just wondering if anyone had used their stuff or am I better off sticking with the better known brands.

I have recently purchased one of there voltage testers, seems ok so far. Although it does seem to be exactly the same as Fluke just a different colour. Buy from a reputable retailer and at least then you can go back to them if it's goes wrong or the company disappear.

I have one of their clamp meters and after mislaying my usual one I have been using that as my mulitmeter for about a month or so.
It does seems to be OK, the batteries haven't run out, the results seem stable.
The price was considerably cheaper than most other brands.

I have just bought a volt stick yesterday, not so good a bit temperamental, but ti does work, luckily I am not really likely to ever use it, it was only that the last one I had I found out was dead after having not used it for two years and now I can look like the standard electrician waving the silly volt pen around!

I only use my volt stick when I want to look like Harry Potter and impress children when it lights up against my arm ha. Admittedly they have their uses.
I was looking at one of their clamps yesterday and seemed reasonable for what I will need. May have to purchase and post up a review of it.
