I've been looking for some low profile downlights (Must fit in a void less than 100mm deep) and come across the click inceptor which apparently only need 60mm.

Has anyone had any experience of them? What are they light for light output and coverage?

Anyone suggest any alternatives?

ta!

Haven’t use them but they look alright. Give them a go and let us know how you got on.

hmm... I was rather hoping not to use my customer as a guinea pig...

Have used JCC LED3s in shallow voids with no problems, think they're slightly deeper than 60mm but no additional junction boxes & driver to squeeze in at least

How do you find the light output of a LED3? About equivalent of a 35W?

I've probably installed 20 or so since they came out just before Crimbo - great bits of kit. My only teeny tiny comment is that they plastic/rubber straps which hold the driver onto the can and these can pop off sometimes when squeezing up through the hole, but I can't see that it makes any odds tbh.

I have seen these they look great because I use the click plugs on downlights and it will save lots of time on a big install.

6-7 watt led is nearer to 50w halogen as a rule but check the output to be sure

what did you think of the spread. Spec is 35 degrees I think which is maybe a bit tighter than halogen, what spacing did you use?

I did a dozen as 3 x 4 as direct replacement for some 12v's on a fairly low cottage style ceiling - customer loved them, and again have also fitted to a bathroom at roughly 1.5m spacing.
