Discuss Anyone used this Wall Chaser?? in the Electrical Tools and Products area at ElectriciansForums.net

Good evening Chiplard,
I haven't use this model but have a Erbauer one from screwfix which is very similar (a good bit of kit), but only use it with a dust extractor if you dont you will end up with very angry customer because you will not be able to see your hand in front of your face within seconds.

I used a similar model, which was a sparky chaser, but red dick is right, you need a hoover attachment because the dust is unreal. It looks like a good unit though, and a very good price.

Got mine from Aldi. Works a treat, but as previously stated it does make a hell of a mess. Dont waste your money paying extra for one with a laser guide, cos within 5 seconds you cant see a thing let alone a little red line.

Thanks for your input everyone.

How much of a mess do they make with dust extraction fitted? I have an industrial vax that might fit the attachment, it is quite a powerful vacuum so hopefully wont get too foggy!!

all this new fangled gear. i would much rather use an apprentice with a hammer and chisel, while I'm in the pub

It's not too bad with it connected to extractor. if you use one once you have cut the chase allow the blade to stop before removing it from the wall.

Never used that one, have the Erbaurer from Screwfix which is a decent bit of kit. Only problem with it though is the dust extraction part is on the side (looks like its on the rear of the Clarke one posted) which makes it a bit tricky in the corners with a hoover hose connected
