Are you using Samsung? I know I'm pitching against them tomorrow but I haven't seen prices for any recently, anyone using them, know which supplier has them and how much?

Thanks

We've never used them but Krannich Solar supply them, never used Krannich either but the were trying to sell them but I only have last years prices when they were the same price as RECs. Hope that helps.

have you tried imperial

No - wholesaler or panels? I don't really want samsung tbh but I need to know how much and check performance and if I need to get hold of them. Nothing wrong with them it's just that I'm trying to reduce what we offer.

MEP where you getting them from?

We used Samsung a lot last year, they offered what we felt were a great value panel. Our customers trusted Samsung and they were quite early in moving to 10 year warranty.

We have moved away from them recently due to restricted supply and price relative to other options (we continually switch panels to keep our edge and remain competitive), however recently their price is dropping and we will be looking at them again after the rush dies down. They are currently ÂŁ0.69/W (without terms) from here Frankensolar.co.uk - Samsung Semiconductor Europe. They are good company and were a great back up to our other suppliers when we were juggling with supply issues last year.

They are well built panel (perhaps too well built at over 20kg per panel). Samsung have brought out a black version which we are yet to try, we like Samsung but as with everything in this market value is key.

Thanks everyone, got the job - just running round like a headless chicken as usual getting everything sorted last minute. Don't you love pv!!

Would you believe it - a clear D I thought ....... built in the 60's, cavity wall insulation, 300mm loft insulation, new windows, 5yr old boiler - E, kit all ordered, everything ready to go - fortunately there's 4kwp going on and that will take it to the top of D :sweatdrop: that was close! Just need to get the weather sorted now for install on Monday.

Thanks everyone installed and registered - got it up to a D62 in the end, just shows that even 60's houses can be difficult with oil heating!
