Apple Update Warning.......

I have just discovered my iPhone’s mobile data usage has more than trebled, since the last update.
All the Apps which I had set to not use mobile data have switched themselves back to using mobile data.
Last two weeks, my phone used 2.5gb, when my monthly average is normally 1.5gb.
Not a happy bunny.

I have unlimited data for my phone.
I can't afford an iphone, not that I would buy one if I could.

i have 5Gig with my SIM only contract with EE, but because we have landline and BB with them, they gave me extra 15Gig. FOC. never use more than 1Gig per month though.

I upgraded my iPhone 6 to an iPhone 7 with 3GB of data on O2 in January through CarPhone warehouse.
I then later purchased an iPad Pro with air time and 3GB of data direct from O2 in May. Was told then that my two devices would be able to share their data allowance.
Roll on the end of August and my iPhone data usage has jumped up due to the Apple update.
Not to worry I thought, I can use some of the unused data allowance from my iPad for my iPhone.
Check my O2 account online to see how to do this, turns out my iPad can share data but my iPhone can’t, says I need to upgrade my iPhone call 202 to arrange this.
Definitely not a happy bunny.

its a crazy world phone contracts, if you ask for say 4gb of data its £35.99 but take the 20gb deal and its £29.99.... seems back to front if you ask me... told the guy I was happy sticking to my 4gb but ended up walking out the shop with a new samsung phone and 20gb of data, albeit i am paying a couple quid less per month
