Thought it might be fun to share some of our more ... uninspiring moments

We upgraded the supply to a sub-board in a factory Monday afternoon, pulled out the old 16mm for 35mm. I had the job of terminating the new cables while the boss hooked up the zappy end. Low and behold, he comes to check my work only to see that I've bolted the Neutral tail to the Earth bar and vice-versa! Felt a right numpty then for sure. Fixed up and all good now though

On a side note, pulling 4x35mm + 16mm Earth through a 50mm conduit = no fun at all.

Yesterday I made the mistake of replacing socket like for like and not checking which terminal was Live and which was neutral on the new one assuming they're the same(you know what they say about assumptions).. My boss saw this and was taking the p*ss a little... We start to power up the DB again... *click* RCD trips when turning on the socket circuit. It was a short between Earth and neutral... Looks at the Sw/fused spur next to the socket I terminated wrong... He put neutral into the earth... Wiped the smug look off his face rather quickly :lol:
