he has watched and assisted many times but this time i just left him to it...!!

not a bad effort i think...!

I install mainly full RCBO units nowadays. Once you explain the benefits to most customers, they are quite happy to spend a bit more. I have to say tho, it's a pain when you realise you have forgotten about a circuit on a Crabtree unit and have to shell out another 20 odd quid....
