I'm just finishing my level 2 2330 at the moment which has cost me ÂŁ600 a year for each of the two years. Is it true that because of new government funding procedures my 2330 level 3 will cost ÂŁ1500 next year?

All forms of education are getting cut uni`s were on the news this morning threatening strike action so it would not suprise me and this is only the tip of the iceberg.

OK cheers, so the rumours are true then.

Do you think I can argue the case that I have already started the course (completing level 2), and have been paying only ÂŁ600, so this is what level 3 should cost me?

Hi
The government will only fund apprentices (employed) as from September. The max per year for the tech cert is ÂŁ1200 but the more students in one class then this fee will be reduced, this is what I have been informed anyway.

Hi all,

I dont think all the colleges charge the same fees so depends where you live. If you are able to travel then it could save you or maybe not thinking about the price of fuel etc.
Oh well,

Best wishes

Nope im finishing off the 1 year L2 course which was funded the Cost was just over $1000 and i was told that L3 was about $1100
... So roughly what i paid then - around ÂŁ400 per year for the level 2 (2 years, making that about ÂŁ800) and ÂŁ1009 for the level 3, totalling somewhere in the region of ÂŁ1809.
Course prices go up most years, so it it to be expected that you are paying slightly more than I did.

I'm just going into my 3rd year to. My college charged about ÂŁ650ish for the last 2 years but this year is ÂŁ747. We have been told the same thing about the government withdrawing support, but apparently you're alright as long as you sign up this academic year or something, so I've done my 17th and this week I'm doing my pat testing both ÂŁ260.

I'm gonna spend all the tax money I can so the M.P's have too buy their own swimming pools!!!!

The major shift in funding is on adult learners (19+). The old LSC would pay half of the fee, with students paying the other half.
This was going to be withdrawn for the 2330 tech cert as it is not within the new QCF framework. Sumitskills have not been able to bring the new qualification in on time which meams that the 2330 will continue to be funded for one more year (as long as you enrol before december).

It is also important to try and enrol onto the NVQ before december, as this will also change (although again if you are 19+ this can cost around ÂŁ1800 with the AM2 included).
