Can anyone tell me whether I can Use a 32A Type B Eton MCB in a Memera 2000 Consumer unit. I have a customer who has had an extension built needing 7 new socket outlets. I'm hoping to add a new ring circuit on a 32A breaker on the RCD protected side of his consumer unit by installing a longer bar and adding the breaker to three already RCD protected ways. Any advice greatly appreciated.

Can of worms time here

Im pretty confident Eaton is now that company so would be ok to use

And yes strictly speaking it isnt ok to mix and match MCB's, whether or not they fit/same size/come from the same factory

This was covered a few weeks back

I have 2 eton labelled MCB's one slightly larger than the other, although the protruding switch size is the same. One with the spring loaded retaining mechanism on the top and one with it on the bottom allowing attachment to the rail. the smaller labelled in blue the larger in grey. I just don't know whether either will fit as I'm taking the details from the customer regarding the consumer unit. could anyone clarify the difference please.

Possibly one is the older Memshield 2 and the other the newer Memshield 3 which unfortunatly are not interchangeable.
