Hi all,
A customer has asked me to have a look at the new light and sockets he has put into the garage (attached to his house), and wants to know if I can sign them off for him.
He knows that I'm just qualified and says he is happy to wait until I'm signed off (if the price is right, I guess).
He says all cabling is visible, so if all seems compliant with the regs and subject to testing, it should be possible.
Because two circuits have been changed, does this mean I need to
1) issue two minor works certificates and just test the circuits concerned
2) issue an installation certificate and test all circuits?
Just to complicate things, I haven't yet committed myself to either the NIC or NAPITT and they might have different ways of dealing with it.
I'm also double checking the regs as I believe he has taken spurs off the CU for these circuits additions, which memory tells me should be okay, although I might play safe and put in a FCU to the socket.
Apologies if it seems a bit trivial - I just want to make sure I get it right.
