Are we just a nation of Moaners

I have just been browsing faceache ( Sorry ) and seen post after post from people complaining of being bored and that they can't wait to get back to work.

People spend all year complaining that they are always at work and get no time to relax and that the " Weekends go by too fast " so along comes christmas where quite a lot of people finally get to take a week off and relax and then within a matter of 3-4 days start moaning that they're ready to get back to work because they are Bored.
I honestly think We as a nation just like to complain, You only have to look at the " I'm too hot in summer and too cold in winter comments lol.

Can anybody think of anymore complaints we as Brits make for the sake of it.
By the way I am only doing this because I'm bored and ready to go back to work :rofl:

Well the scots keep moaning about the English due to something that happened in the 1300s, the welsh about the English, I have no idea why , the English about everything and everbody including themselves and the Irish about each other, so yes we are a nation of moaners, if we didn't moan I suspect we would be fighting each other so better to moan I suppose lol

Yep i believe we do just moan for the sake of it. Its something I've noticed a lot lately and because of that have been making a conscious effort not to. Its been difficult!!

I am now semi retired and proud of the fact I do other things in life that please me and help others too , I did not work all those years in this trade to discuss it all the time , I know countless other Sparks who would scoff at it too..

Sometimes we need to detach ourselves from our work life , it will still be there when were gone ..

Good observation, yes they have gone extremely quiet and with the huge crack in the Forth Road Bridge it was the icing on the cake for them.
You want to try living & working up here, as an Englishman we get blamed for everything including the poor Scottish weather.
In general the Scots are really decent people but with the voice of the SNP screaming loud in the political world the usual idiots have jumped on the bandwagon so any single problem in Scotland means we the English get the blame.
Can be quite comical at times.

Hi Dave , yes had enough TBH and only work when I want , what a difference to your life though and its given me chance to find and do other things too , some of the guys I worked with years ago have stopped at their retirement age , then just sat back and then they are gone , I want something different than that , get the Southern Electric pension in 2 years time so things are looking good along with other things its O/K , I would recommend it to anyone if they can work it that way ...Cheers mate and Happy New Year ..
