That aside the Mayan calendar stops on that date only because they never continued it as they were invaded by the spanish if i recall my history.... pop to your local card shop and the cliff richard calendar finishes on the 31st dec 2013 ..... just wish he did sometimes

Okay the Mayan calendar.... So at what point do you actually STOP writing a calendar? I could write one for years and years and years to come but it would take my mean entire lifetime to do so and even then it would become incomplete unless someone else decided or remembered to continue it, which it would then possess the rest of their life. Come on, REALLY? the guy probably got fished off and decided enough was enough so stopped.
