Hi, wondering if we should get something tested to see if they are asbestos. Currently they (wall tiles) are considered as being, but life would be easier if they definitely weren’t and we were able to drill them.

What sort of cost is getting them tested?

Thanks.

Is this in your house?
Is this a commercial premises?

If it's a commercial premises then I always thought they needed an up to date Asbestos Register.

This outlines all areas of the building and what was tested.
Anything not accessed or tested will be classed as containing asbestos until verified.

My advice would be call the professionals on this if unsure.

Cant help on this costing either but above is good advice in my mind.

I nearly got to the stage of testing in a domestic property. Think it was around £130, then multiples of £30. You can get some form of test kit, to test yourself with certain limitations, as far as I can recall. But never got to do it, so ignore what I've just said :(

I had some testing done in a domestic property - it was about £100 for what I think was a single sample. Have a look online for companies in your area, they might give a price online or over the phone.
