ASHP again.... after bit of help please Guys

Hi Guys

Got few of these coming up now... 1st fixes done.

Now the fun bit of 2nd fixes - bit of a head scratcher as none seem the same!

What I'm after help on is... I need to install a volt free relay if my switched live is 230v, which it is.

Does anyone have a link of where I could get a DIN mounted one please ?
Have done a google but cant seem to find anything obvious that states volt free.

Use a contactor instead with a 230v coil. Volt free connection done from there.?

Do you mean like motor starters so there are momentary buttons for start/stop but if power fails it goes off and stays that way?

A contactor with aux contacts can do "volt free" release, but how is it switched on in the first place?

It's normally stated as Volt free contact, (not volt free relay) meaning that the contacts are not prewired to any power source, like older / basic time switches are / were.
It's probably a bad language translation in the instructions.

Agreed, I would read it as 'relay providing volt-free contacts' i.e. contacts not electrically connected to anything else.

You shouldnt need one if you use a volt free programmer or stat these can come ready for volt free wiring.

Doesn't my z.valve need 230v s.live going through it (or maybe not)

Your brown on z valve would to open but grey/orange can be volt free.
Can you post a pic of external controls wiring diagram for the ashp?

Sorry for slow reply - been away couple days !
All good now the company supplying the ASHP are sending a relay ;-)
