Have someone of you prepared assumptions for example 2357-308 Task A,B?? And would give some advice how this should look
Thanks

The information you need is contained in the KEY on drawing C-04.

Using this key you can check it against the drawings C-01/C-02/C-03/C-04 of the barracks to see what equipment is installed and therefore what type and rating of protective devices, cables etc.

Take the lighting in the Electrical switch-room & Stores as an example.

You have 25 x 1800mm 2x70Watt IP 65Fluorescent Luminaire installed. Each fitting is 140watts x 25 = 3.5Kw / 230V = 15.22Amps (rounded off) Multiplied by not less than 1.8 (discharge lighting see On Site Guide bottom of page 110) gives 27.4amps.

So you need to work out what rating and type of protective device to use and cable type/size. remember that Ib<In<Iz. You will need to think of the TYPE of Circuit breaker due to the nature of the lights and inrush current.

I split the lights up over multiple circuits when i did this task if i remember correctly.

I did this a long while back now so hopefully the information i have given is correct. I am happy to be corrected if i am wrong.

Righ the OP PMd me this earlier, hopefully this will be the useful information that we need to help them..

Hi Dillb Im completed Task A,B 2357 and for each need make assumption

Task A Drawings 2357-AM-01/02/03 show a forty year old house.Indication show that no modifications heve been carried out in the last 20 years. You are involved in diagnosis and correction of faults in the installation.Using the information above, you may make assumption in your project work in respect to type and rating of protective device, cables, and equipment, addresses and the like

Task B http://cdn.cityandguilds.com/Product...l_drawings.pdf

Drawings 2357-CM-01/02/03/04 show the barrack which has a number of individual buildings. You are involved in the diagnosis and correction of faults in the installation.Using information contained on the drawings, you may make assumptions in your project work in respect to type and rating of protective device, cables and equipment, addresses and the like

No idea how start Please give some hints

The information is in the key. The drawings have the scale written also if you need to work out cable runs and volt drop etc. I don't think you need to go in to too that much detail though.

An assumption could be - The lighting circuit in the kitchen of the house could be wired in 1.5mm2 Flat Twin & Earth and protected by a Type B 6amp BS-EN 60898 MCB.

This is not the same as the 308 task A/B i did at college. although the drawings are the same the questions are different.

",you may make assumptions in your project work in respect to type and rating of protective device, cables and equipment, addresses and the like "

So It's as I thought the first time he posted this up. Assume all cables are correctly ran, selected, supported etc. All OCPDs and equipment have been properly selected.
