Hi everyone, its been a while since I participated on the forum and in here so apologies from my side but I must confess I'm slightly baffled by the lack of activity in here and even more so the lack of engaging with mentors. By that I mean I see that some mentors are offering up little electrical puzzles for you to solve but are not getting any bites, is there a reason for this???
I am only asking because this part of the forum used to be a really popular place.
Believe me when I say I'm not having a pop at anyone but please try and remember that all the Mentors offer up their time and effort for free and have a wealth of knowledge that you really should make use of because you would miss them if they weren't around.
I myself have asked a few times if there is anything that
could make it busier in here or more interesting but I have also received a lack of replies.
So come on guys let's all get a bit more involved and see if we can get the trainee forum buzzing again.
Thanks
GMES

This section was invaluable for me whilst in was training.

It would be nice to see it busy again
Indeed it would mate, any suggestions of what could improve it.

I'm trying hard to provide for it and promote it, I've not done much of the set stuff by mentors just through lack of time, but on always on the hunt for content for the section

I'm not sure tbh. When I initially started using this section it was fairly busy (posts everyday), but overtime it's got less and less.

There must still be students studying and eager to learn, although I would imagine covid has altered this years students progress and new starters.

Maybe that is a factor more recently......

I like the scenario questions and I know someone will always be quick to answer questions and offer advice should someone need it.

When I was learning it was all about relevant content, (videos, articles, blogs etc). I think students will still be searching for those things.....

If this section had active topics on those would searches through Google help create a link to this section?

Iv just tried the following searches on google..

Electrical trainee help guidance
Electrical trainee basics
Electrical trainee ohms law
Electrical trainee need to know
Electrical trainee terminating
Electrical trainee fundamentals
Electrical trainee installing
Installing twin and earth
Basic lighting circuit
Understanding ohms law

All of the above returned no links to the forum on the first page. Most people dont scroll past the first page on search engines.

I have tried to post recently but probably due to navigating the forum incorrectly ,I have struggled to post.
Bit like navigating the BBB I seem to be getting the hang of it now.
Just entering the last 2weeks of level 3 now, inspection and testing then fault finding. Got 3 exams next week and 2 practical coming up so I could be asking for a bit of help from the lads on here who have always been very encouraging and helpful to me.
Only started in the trade a year ago and looking to get back on site in 3 weeks with level 2&3, 18th edition regs under my belt .
Quite happy with that retraining at 56 years old. Probably the oldest trainee in town.

I think that group is a little confusing. Most of the threads in that group could have just been posted in the trainee section. Also, how do you navigate to this group? Maybe I'm just being daft but I cant see a link through the forums sub menu??
On the home page below "electriciansforums" you see Home, Forums, What's New etc.. If you scroll across that banner you will see Groups.
