I have noticed that the colours of the leaves are spectacular this year, particularly the acer family - Maples and Sycamores and Judas Trees, Cercis Canadensis. Get out and enjoy it before it is all blown away!

My recommendation

Trebah Gardens, nr Falmouth :clover::clover::clover:

whats yours?
---

my recommendation? a coal fire and a bottle of jack daniels.

I've just driven through Longbenton, and there are gorgeous weeping willows everywhere. The big lake where the swans and ducks usually congregate is empty now, because the field on the other side of the road is waterlogged and they are all swimming in that!!! Talk about the water's always bluer............:rolleyes2:

it sounds beautiful, there are still so many beautiful places in the world and not so far from home ---. it only takes a minute or two reflection to witness it! xx

we live in a world of contrasts.. beauty, love and tolerance - ugliness, bitterness and intolerance.. ---

Autumn here is that the temperature is 40c during the day but a very nice 30c at night ...................no trees as such but the date palms look nice lit up for Haj

I recommend Westonbirt Arboretum and Stourhead which always look glorious at this time of year.

Yes! So right, used to live right near Westonbirt and went swimming at the bath is Westonbirt.

That is THE place never seen anything to top it.

And yes harness69 the acers can be stunning can't they!

Westonbirt is outstanding yes! there are also plenty of free access woodlands too. The birch woodland of the New Forest, with its rich butter tones are particularly stunning against their white stems xx
