so I've got one for you guys.
Currently wiring a commercial unit, steel frame etc. I mainly do maintenance/underground networks/domestic.
The situation I have is 1 lighting circuit (3 1way, 1 2 way and emergency key)
At swich I will have
Feed
Em sl+n
4x sl+n
Strapper for 2way

So in total 7 cables, sounds simple.........

The wiring is to be in swa so my question is how would you guys go about glancing 7 swa's into a 8 gang grid back box?

My initial thought is a 50/50 trunking teed down and bushing in my cables to the side of the back box and glancing my cables into the top of the T. Terminating my earth core to each banjo bolt and linking these banjos with fly leads and bringing a single earth into the back box with all my lives/neutrals/switch lives/strappers.

Any thoughts on a neater way to achieve the same result tidier.
Client has specced swa so singles in conduit aren't an option
Many thanks.

But then you get 7 SWAs coming down the wall which looks a bit naff, and if the box is big enough for them all to go in the top edge it'll be twice the size of the switch. If the client will accept a run of conduit down the wall, I'd put the AB at the top and drop in conduit to the switch. Neutrals can all stay in the AB, then there are only 8 cores to come down the conduit - L, em SL, 3x 1w SL, 3x strapper one of which is also 2w SL. And an optional CPC.

E2A: If you want to stay strictly SWA, bring the strapper cable down to the switch but marshall the other 6 cables in an AB and drop 2x 4C to the switch each with a line and some SLs.

Thanks for the replies guys, think it will be an adaptable box, a 25mm galv tube down with my switch wires etc and my strapped swa glanced into another's galv tube with a coupler and reducer at high level, don't think a galv tube and a saw entering the same switch would look overly great. Thanks for your replies
