Hi, hope one of you guys/girls can helpView attachment PDU backup.pdf. Im working on a project, the schematic is attached. PDU/A is supplying the load in normal operation, if PDU A fails then PDU/B needs to supply the load until PDU/A is operational again. The client doesn't want PDU/B connected to the UPS system at all! I need some way of PDU/B to be automatically powered then non-powered?????? I dont think an ATS is the answer here. Note: only 1 PDU to operate at any one time.

If the 2 risers are fed from different supply points, then you can use the other riser to supply PDU/B going through a form of control hook-up between PDU/A and PDU/B

There are several ways of switching ''in'' and switching ''out'' PDU/B, the problem is the speed in which it is accomplished, as the loads are computer servers!! You really need the speed of a ''Static Switch'' .... I'll leave the sourcing etc, to others here that can help you more easily than i.

Well, thanks for that. At least i know the answer is not immediatley obvious. Think i'll find and look at the full schematic.
