Why why why do people rush into jobs with out thinking , this would have been a nice little job , 3 story 4 be town house , I was asked to do a PIR , on the property re wired last year , and it was oh my god , it looks like its been rewired 10 years ago the words from my apprentice , just to start one 5 way main CDU main switch 30ma RCD then goes to 3 more 5 way main switch 30 ma RCD's one next to the first then one on each floor , no circuit identification mounted at 450mm from the floor no blanks and exposed terminals , talk about all over the place ground floor kitchen fed off the first floor dist board , first floor kitchen fed off the second floor ground floor kitchen sockets fed off the first floor cdu etc etc 16mm cable to the shower then changes to 6mm at the switch fan isolator in the bathroom in zone 1 of a shower , the owner was told that no need to put in earth bonding because you have RCD's installed , and to top it off the flippin muppets connected all the earths to the CDU's to an earth block of the supply cut out that was not even connected and for the last twelve months the whole house was earthed via the 0.75mm cpc going to the central heating boiler , and guess what no certs issued , guys that did it i belive are claiming to be NIC and are not so i shall be investigating as these guys are giving us sparks a bad name:mad2:
