Banjo.

Straight forward question, is there any point putting a banjo on one end of a cable and not the other when glanding both ends? Also do you need the banjo if one of your cores is an earth?

depends on what enclosure you fixing to. you still need to earth the swa even though one of the cores is an earth. if the cable was damaged the whole swa could become live.

if its a pvc enclosure and you are using the swa as a earth and not a core you would need to fit banjo

I always earth at least one end via the banjo bolt to the CPC. If its a metal box the box will also be earthed to the CPC.

so, use earthing nuts. if you don't like banjos. bedtter than just twisting a bit of wire ( sorry malcolm ) cable under the nut.
