Am I going mad
just done 17th exam passed by the way
talking to another candidate about bath rooms and he is under the impression that a bath room should be on it's own circuit.
now I've never done this and I cant find any thing to back this up in my BRB.
iv always put bath room with local area (1st floor ,ground floor)
am i missing something here

I am at moment on 1st fix of extension with new bathroom i have not put the bathroom on seperate radial as cannot see the point as it will have rcd protection when new mk board goes in why create more work for your self

most bathrooms only draw minimum current ( light and extractor ) so i do not put it on a seperate circuit !!!!! on the other hand kithens i would consider on own circuit but again depends on whats going to used in there !!! I have put the kitchen on the the same circuit as the normal ring in the extension i am working on but the whole extension again draws minimum current so why creat work !!! it just depends on the design and current draw total

It was sometimes handy under the 16th ed, where a 230 volt fan needed Rcd protection(but lighting didn't)

By running a seperate supply to the bathroom light, off the Rcd side, the fan wired off the light had its protection via that light

Not much point now unless the rest of the lighting is surface wired

the question is in relation to the regs i to don't put on own circuit as no load in there i also know that as the rest of the 1 st floor if flush will be on RCD
but just wanted to clarify i have not missed any thing
