Hi All,

Just checking something when asked to install a bathroom fan supplied from existing lighting circuit.

- Install a triple pole switch to isolate. (can this be in the loft space for example)??
- As I am modifing the cct do I assume I will need to RCD / RCBO it. or not??

Thanks in advance

Install either pull cord in side the bathroom or switch out side the bathroom I would say not in the loft.

All work in the bathroom needs to be Rcd protected.

there is usually no need to fit a triple pole switch as long as there are windows in the bathroom (although it is good practice either way)

check fan does not need fusing down to 3a
