bathroom fan

hi guys im doing a quote for a rewire, the customer doesn't want a bathroom fan he is trying to cut down on price.
Do i need to insist tha he has one to comply, the bathroom has two windows in it .

Provided the windows open, Can't see any reason for mechanical ventilation being mandatory. I would have a look at part F of the building regulations for more info regarding ventilation, but I am reasonably sure it relates to areas without other provisions for ventilation and opening windows should cover you.

I agree, not required

...remember to tell him the mould wont stay away for long on his nicely painted walls - 6 months max and the wall will look like it's got the plague

and i dont care who you are, no1 is going to open those windows every time they have a shower

personally, I would insist as a matter of good practice, and he will definitely benefit from it
