[ElectriciansForums.net] Bathroom light isn't working
I have an outlet, fan (which used to be wired as a double switch with a fan and light), and a bathroom light. The two switches are on one breaker and the outlet is on another.

Overall I have 6 runs of cable coming into the box. The outlet and fan work, but the light switch does not. Can anyone help me make even the slightest bit of sense of the wiring here?

Has it suddenly stopped or have you been doing any alterations to the wiring, the switch looks new.

I replaced the fan switch (middle), but that's it. The bathroom was redone, so there hasn't been power to the main bath light in a while. The ground for the middle switch is hot for some reason and neither of the wires connected to the switch on the far right are.

The device you are using is totally unreliable for identifying a hot wire. Was the light working before it was redone and was it working before you replaced the switch.

How many terminals are there on the new switch.

Assuming you have done nothing else apart from replacing the switch which is just two wires the only other thing I can suggest is redoing the two white wires at the wire nut. It appears to have a cable in and a cable out, if this is the case that is the only other connection. Refit the old switch and see if it works.
