Just had a new bathroom installation.

The electrician removed the old shaver light/socket and ran a cable behind the wall (plasterboard) to about 2 feet+ above the basin, where it comes through a small hole in the wall (in readiness for us to put a bathroom mirror/light in).

I'm ok about connecting the wiring to the connection box on the back of the mirror, but where the cable comes through the hole in the wall - is this ok, or is there a correct procedure to deal with it eg some sort of plate or fixing?

Your advice would be much appreciated - I have tried searching on the net, but unable to find anything.

Thanks

if its just through plaster board it should be ok,just make sure on the edge of the hole there are no rough/sharp bits of plaster and its quite smooth....
