Hi Done a pir with a unswitched fused spur feeding a towel rail located outside the zones.I cannot find the isolator for it anywhere and susspect that when the bathroom was refurbed was lost or switched on and left under floorboards !! The customer can only isolate by removing fuse. The question is because it is outside zones could you change for a switched spur ?? I would normally install switch outside and outlet inside.
Any thoughts ??

dont quote me on this but because of you now being able to install a socket in a bathroom if its 3mtrs away from zone 0 then i would say that if your switched spur is of the same distance then the answer would be yes but any less i would say no why would you be able to install a socket which is considerably more dangerous if you couldnt fit a spur i would guess a better man than me will quote you regs and such like but these are my thoughts

Hi Jason looking at page 70 outside zones - general rules - what are general rules ?? under switchgear and accessories - it says accessories allowed but what about switchgear ?? or am i reading it wrong ?
