Hi there, is there a difference in any regulations in the bedroom if it's on suit bathroom does not have a doors, i couldn't find anything in the books, thanks.

The only thing that springs to mind is the 3M distance for sockets as it would be technically the same room without a door. Daft though that may be :)

good job it's been scrapped then, otherwise the bedside lamps might have contravened the regs.

it's a little bit awkward , because the bath will be against the wall which will be the wall separating bedroom, and no doors of course, and they want a tv on the same wall from the bedroom side, so if i would follow the bathroom zones,no sockets would be allowed in that bedroom and the tv should be suitable for fitting in zone 2,and be controlled by a switched fused spur outside the zones.. On site guide and regs, doesn't say anything about it, or i have missed it , but went through them couple times. Maybe anyone had to deal with something like that?

It's not that you can't have sockets (unless the room is smaller than 3M), the stipulation for sockets is 3M from the edge of zone 1. If there's a wall there, then zone 2 will extend around in an arc from the end of that walls access to the bathroom (600mm). Phone your scheme (or building control) and ask about the particular case. If there's no chance of the appliance/socket being reached whilst being in zone 0 of the bath, then I suspect they may allow it. The other alternative is to have a door installed (if it's a small access, then one of the bi-fold types will often be available to fit).

Yep that's why I'm said that there would be no sockets, because the room is a bit smaller then 3m,maybe it would be 3m in one corner :) the walkway to bathroom is not small at all,it's just how they like,I will have a chat with them:) and that was the thing I wanted to ask during my assessment but was very nervous and forgot lol, and now waiting for package to come.

ther is nothing in the regs for this issue, all you have here is a (location containing a bath or shower) 701 BS7671 zones applies just as if the bath was in the corner of the bedromm with no seperating walls

now I can understand what you wanted to say in your first post. great idea. when I read this topic, I coudnt get what you say. nice reply.

Does get a bit difficult sometimes, last week i had a bathroom that had a large sheet of ply fitted over the bath (so could not see the bath) and fitted sockets above with washing machine and tumble sitting on it. In reality making it a utility room but the bath was still there but obviously un-usable. I had to ignore it but commented if they move out they are left with sockets over the bath.
