How would someone get intouch with BC and what are the procedures followed to notify them? sorry not long qualified and just want some info.

Try googling your local authority, there should be info on there for you.

Yes m8 you need to ring the local council where the work is to take place and ask them to send some info your way.they normally have like a price chart that goes off how much the work cost to do/quoted for.

Hope this helps but be warned their not cheap

They do indeed charge depending on building costs etc.

If you were just notifying some electrical works then they normally start around £150+ per site.

Local Authority Building Control find the number for your local council and ask for or select the option for building control or google it
