Hi,

I've done an apprenticeship in engineering and got my HNC last year. Unfortunately I got made redundant earlier this year and jobs are Proving to be few and far between.

Am now thinking of moving into the electrical field such as domestic work, I'm not a 100% sure of what qualifications I need though.

During my apprenticeship I done a year of electrical work and received an EAL NVQ level 2 in performing engineering operations, this included three electrical units
U1053589 - Wiring and testing electrical circuits
U1053590 - building and testing electronic circuits and U1053603 - installing electrical wiring support systems.

I've had a look at what qualifications are required on google but they refer only to city and guilds courses, having gone down the route I have am unsure if I would have to start over again and go down the city and guilds route.

Any help or advice anyone has would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
