Becomming a Solar PV installer.

Can you anyone advise on what qualifications/schemes are required to enable installation of Solar PV systems?

I have my working at heights, C&G 2330 Levels 2&3, NVQ Level 3, 2391 Inspection & Testing and 2382 17th Edition, and also Btec First & National Qualifications for Micro Electronics. The company I am working for is getting more and more jobs which are being spec'd with PV.

The owner has offered to put me through the relevant training course(s).

your company will need to be MCS accreditted and a member of the REA. You technically don't need the C&G 2372 (pv course) to install a pv system, but if you have no knowledge of how a PV system is installed or works then i would strongly advise it

However you, or somebody in your company would need the relevant qualifications to become a qualified supervisor under the MCS scheme.
The 2372 has now been replaced and it has become the 2399-11. Leeds college of building run the course
