Hi guys

I do loads and loads of the bloody things, 12v and GU10's. I always seem to go for non fire hood ones as they are usually neater visually. The rim is often more flush that the fire hood ones I have seen.

But... I would prefer fire-hoods as they are easier to connect and look more solid!

Anybody know a good one, LV/240 that has a very flush rim, like the aurora and TLC die cast type. As soon as a fire hood is included, the rim gets thicker and I think don't look as good.

Of course, I always recommend a 6ft strip, but for some reason everyone turns their noses up?! (Cant see why) I say give it a few years and you'd wish I'd have put a strip in for you!

Any makes you can recommend around the standard price?

Cheers

Surely it a question for the customer?

You tell them they can only have fire hood fittings if you deem it appropriate. You show them a range of fittings. The aesthetics is then their decision dependent on what they want to spend.

You just don't show them the ones you don't want to fit
