Hi all,
I would like to know which are the best makes and where to buy the following please
R2 wander lead
calibration checkbox for full range of checks
proving unit
clamp meter for mainly domestic installs
flying lead for R1+R2 continuity

cheers for any advice on what and where to buy thanks

R2 wander lead - Never owned one, just make one your self with a coil of conduit wire
Calibration Checkbox - Never owned one, just get your tester calibrated once a year for about 35quid
Proving unit - never owned one, test n a known source and then check whatever it is you are testing
Clamp Meter - Your local wholesaler will have loads of these
Fly Lead for R1+R2?? Do you mean the temp link betwen the two at the board? just make one with conduit wire and a couple of croc clips from an auto shop.

cheers mate thought about making r2 and the flying lead but i wanted them to look a bit more proffessional looking as it will be for my assessment
i was going to get a calcard but i need the checkbox i need for it for my megger as i dont have a socket thats not rcd protected for checking high Zs and so will always trip my rcd
where can you get my megger tested for £35 as thats a lot cheaper than anywhere else i seen cheers for reply mate

Normally Wholsalers have calibration days, they calibrate meters at a good price while you wait, the last one I went to was 35 quid a go.

Who are you having your assesment with? I've never had a proving unit or R2 wander lead for an assesment.
