Ok let's try to do this without getting any "Get of you DIYer your not getting any answers from us!" I am not a DIYer.

So I was wondering how people normally connect there smoke alarms,
Do you connect the twin and earths in a junction box.
Or do you use a chock box or do you just get one of those adapter plate that gives you space to put a connector block in.
And which is the best method?

I don't understand... Wiring smoke detectors using 2x twin instead of 3 core because you 'ran out' sounds like a DIYers solution.

"I had bills to pay so I couldn't take time off work to go to college"
"The customer didn't want the floorboards lifted so I ran the socket off the lighting circuit"
"The customer was on a tight budget so I ran the cables diagonally to save cable"
"I ran out of 2.5mm so I wired the sockets in bell wire"
