All electric system, no gas in village presently hot water supplied by an aging oil fired Rayburn. About to install solar panels and electric heating. What storage heaters do the panel recommend. What are Stiebel Eltron like? What about RC wave any advice appreciated. Have Dimplex in the old pad bit clunky

Fitted a couple of replacement Stiebels recently - 30 odd year old originals that they replaced were German made, identical model replacements were Chinese made. I have to say build quality looked identical. A far as heated boxes of bricks go, they are well priced and well put together. Much cheaper than the equivalent Dimplex models.

Why would I be worried about that, the customer specified I just put in a cu & radials + fitted heaters.
But as you asked the manufacturer claims they are more economical that storage heaters (so the landlord tells me)

Fahro heaters, easily the best replacement for night storage, very low running costs

Expensive, but the running costs easily outweigh the running costs of night storage, and they look pretty modern

Henley block installed and some new tails installed into the night store board from the 24hr supply, jobs a good-un
