Was doing a part rewire including upstairs lighting. This is what i found before starting!...Needless to say it was full of faults ...such as very low IR and poor continuity n all....In fact 2 of the bedroom lights wern`t working at all....Not suprising really....
Oh yes!...The thing is ...it wasn`t just the JBs....all the cable runs to the points was wrong n all...and some of it was damaged...(which probably explained the low IR values). I should have taken snaps of the house rings n all.....in fact one of em wasn`t evan a real ring as there was no continuity on one of the outgoing legs (joint box again)....so rather than find the fault they just put a 16A breaker at the board and ran it as a great big radial...lol...
