Just doing rewire and TV/sky included...

Normally do my first fix like this:

Main sky hd+ point in lounge ---> 2 x ct100 cables out to dish and 2 x ct100 cables up to loft ---> from loft run a ct100 to each room.

But on this job they would like in the master bed a secondary sky HD+ box, so just wondering what extra cables I would need to put in, and could they come from the loft if so...?

Sorry but not too clued up on this as I only normally only first fix and the TV chap comes in to do his bit....

Many thanks,

Sy

So just want to check I'm reading this correctly....

I would need 2 cables from the dish to the master bed.... having 4 cables in total at the dish (2 going to box in lounge and 2 to box in master bed)

Sorry not too sure on exactly what a quad LNB quatro LNB or multiswitch is ? LNB is something at the dish maybe ?

Thanku

If you want to use sky+ to its full you need two cables to each sky box thats how it records one thing whilst you watch another, The LNB is the device on the end of the arm that you connect the cable/cables to. a quad LNB has 4 seperate output connectors on it so you can have 4 different signals being received at the same time,

If in any doubt call up the sky installer who will be second fixing, they will tell you exactly what cables need to be routed to each point, and for a quick call you know where you are and its embedded in your mind for future reference,i did make the mistake of just banging in what i thought was needed to a cupboard with an amp,but was soon put right by the sky installers,so looked a bit of a plonker, but hey ho,we live and we learn, now if im in doubt i just call them with the spec.
