bloody traffic wardens

woke up this morning to a parking ticket on the van the wheels arent on the yellow line but the bonnet is about half an inch over and the car behind is 2 inches off the back bumper cant believe theyve been so picky over half an inch

Photograph and dispute it, the wheels need to be touching the line.
I questioned a ticket-----er that had not quite got his rear wheels in the marked bay, they were on the lines and he said it was acceptable, when he was not around I tried to push it out of the bay to take a pic and report, but his handbrake was on too tight!
Now I keep an eye out for him when I am in the discovery, to pull it out a foot and report him!

i met a decent warden,i know its hard to believe,but he gave me a tel number to ring as i was paying to park while im working in city,it allows you to park basically anywhere free,you ring up tell them who you are, where your working,where your parked and your reg number,most councils do this so he says,saves a fortune and normally give you 1-2 hours at job,may be worth ringing your local council to see if they do this too..

some of em are just pains, had 1 in manchester years back,pulled up outside a pub to do a co2 leak,10 min job 1 pops up out of the pavement(a la chorlton and the wheelies) gives it the you cant park here bit,and btw my radio is connected to police, incidentally nearest parking was 1/4 mile away so I said well if your radio is linked to police can you get me 6 cars 2 fire engines and ambulance,also full road closure and evacuation of this block,as I have a gas leak to deal with(didn,t mention it was co2) and if it goes bang its your problem for delaying me.the apparent threat of so much work resulted in a letter to put in my window and her radioing the other wardens to say I was on an urgent job and vehicle should not be ticketed.laughed about it all the way home.

see in the paper today the wardens have small video camera,s in their badges now, a small sign to inform you that you are being filmed.....plenty of money to be made plonking a ticket on a car,,,

me 30ft up in the air at a streetlight traffic warden "how long is this vehivcle going to be parked here" me " As long as it takes me to sort this light !" Her " 10 Mins and Ill have to book you!" me " Go on then be as well doing it now as Ill be half an hour " Phoned gaffer who got roads inspector round quicker than jack flash result Traffic warden read the riot act Turned out my gaffer had threatened to turn OFF all town center street lighting if I got a ticket

Same town different street We were parked 1 tower van 1 7.5 tonne tipper 1 gaffers car signed up and beacon we had gone round the corner to make connections and put in SP fuses to the box Returning to street T.W. walking off having ticked all 3 vehicles gaffer shouted them over and asked for explination "your parked in a pedestrian precinct!!!" Orr we all trotted behind gaffer tickets in hand to the local cop shop handed over tickets and asked guy behind counter to"Sort them out" his face was a picture as he said " cant sort anything out your parked in a ped precinct( T.W. had phoned Gafer pulled out the notice about formation of ped precinct starting at 0001hrs of the NEXT day tickets coppied and nullified

ALWAYS challange the ticket EVEN if you think it has been issued correctly If its a PCN from one of those private companies doing car parks with ANPR cameras if you were shopping , visiting a resteraunt ect Appeal stating such and phone the store,place manager and ask if they can get it sorted as the ones I know of have the capacity to do so

Just hope your correct in your positioning and you havent moved it back to make a complaint.... all tickets issued are photographed time and date logged as to reason why ticket was issued so if you are to contend said ticket take your own photo to express your argument but this holds little proof as ppl can move vehicals prior to the photo.... what you need to do is request the logged photo that was taken when he booked your vehical and this is the one that will clear your name if you have been unfairly booked.

We used to take my son to a kung fu class on a sunday morning, round the corner to the hall there is a few bays with parking meters but as its a sunday you dont have to pay. parked there for months with no issues at all.
One day get a fine through the door with a web link, when you go to the link there is a video of my wife parking up and getting my son out the car. This day she turns up and parks there there was bags over the meters saying out of order, but again its a sundauy so she presumes you can still park there especially as every other bay is parked in too.
Appaerntly not...the out of order bag renders the bay out of order at anytime and we had to pay a £60 fine.

Funnily enough the following week i drove past there on a saturday night, drove past the meters and no bags there at all. returned the following morning and all of a sudden the bags are back and every bay is full.
Must of been making a fortune every sunday scamming people parking.
