So, I've just nicely finished off my son's new bedroom in the loft. After much discussion with the wife, we agreed on the layout of furniture, where the TV and desk for PC would go etc. I wired the room perfectly to suit this, socket outlets in appropriate places, satellite, TV and network points in relevant places, two way light switching so he can operate lighting from door position and his bed, reading lamp on wall over his bed etc.

Been to work and left my wife sorting out furniture today, come home and she's put furniture in totally different places so everything is wrong now. Why did I even bother? She thinks I can move everything I've done just as easily as moving the furniture around. Aaargh.

Did, at any point, she use the word 'fine'?? My friend....that's a schoolboy error!!!

My other half told me she wanted brass faceplates throughout the house once, fitted the lot one Saturday she was out, she came home and asked me what the hell had happened! She got chrome and brass mixed up! The bell end!

Similar story. Asked 'the woman' what switches she wants when I re-wired our house. She says oh Im not bothered. So I show her matt black and she says yes thats fine. So fitted them through out.

Then weeks later she see's black nickel and says "oh I want them, I dont like the matt black."

"But I asked you exactly what you want?!"

"I know but hadn't seen the black nickel, I didnt think I was bothered but I am now"

I would have replied with something like......

No chance.

If this was back in the eighties, fair doos.
