is it a large group the bigger the better i heard,

whats involved with it any details, bit of a pain going to the mornings but anything else ?

I've got an invite sitting here for one down our way - there's about eight different ones locally - and tbh, I'm not made up on it - although I know a lad who's in one in South London, and he's done a ton of business through it.

The idea is that you refer each other's businesses, more than anything - and then swap leads over a (cold) breakfast - so, you go on your travels in the week and punter says to you they want insurance - you say ah! Let me take your details and give them to my mate x- he then takes the lead.

It's right for some businesses, and not so much for others. Depends what sort of work you want.

A bit of advice for networking:
Find a group that is pay as you go, no up front fees.
Keep going , it takes time for people to get to know and TRUST you.
Look for people with the same customers as yourself, team up with them for any flyers etc.
BNI treats you like a school child and is very structured, too many rules etc. Each group is called a chapter, oh dear the bile is rising.
Be careful as most are franchised and just want to make money out of you.
The best ones are run by local business for local business.
Hope that helps.
