Bolts For Banjo

Hi All

What size is the nut and bolt for connecting the eart to a banjo?

Do toolstation/screwfix sell them?

I always use 6mm Brass nut, bolt and washers and also a couple of star washers.

A 6mm x 20mm hex top bolt & hex nut is the boy with a couple of serrated washers.

Failing that you can buy a box of roofing bolts which are 6mm and come with nuts but they are pants IMO.

Have you also considered and earthing nut which does away with the need to use the banjo at all.

echo the earthing nuts. they are the dog's nuts.

agree ith above. for smaller glands, its a 6mm bolt, with flat and split washer. for larger stuff its an M10 bolt with same washers

Toolstation sell them but for some reason don't sell serated washers and the normal washer from there are pants

Engineering suppliers is your best bet

Generally M6 X 25mm BZP with shake proof washers and Crimp Lug, it does depend on the size of the Cable due to the earthfult path. so take a look at the Glend Kit before you order and that will give you a clue, providing of course it comes complete with the Banjo.

Dont know about toolstation but they are not difficult to come by
