Hi guys just a quick post what cert do you use when just upgrading the main bonds from a 6mm to 10mm

Not too sure Bright spark, My old boss use to issue a minor works for it but I'm not to sure weather it warrants one or weather it should be a new installation cert due to it be tech a new circuit

Are you with a scheme? If so give them a call, they will give you the info.

Just had a look and Upgrading the Main Equipotential Bonding would require a Minor Works!

as far as i am aware anyone can upgrade bonding conductors and is non notifiable, aint got regs at hand but that was always my understanding

Thanx's gents for all the reply's. I think it's a bit of a grey area most of spark i know issue different cert from one another thinking there right due to different Niceic inspectors telling them so . I think we need a bit more of a clear view on this matter

not sure about notifiable by when i part P a job there is a selection for sup bonding so this would say it is notifiable

Yep checked it out there is no requirement to notify and anyone can upgrade thier bonding if they so wish.....
