Just wanted your thoughts. Although it’s probably been discussed on here thousands of times, apologies if this is a repeat (I did do a search.. honest)
What percent of domestic jobs you have done in the last year have the correct bonding?
Personally I’d have to answer 5%.
Water – I’d say 50% of the time has “some sort” of bonding, not very often 10mm.
Gas Supplies– Never!
It was my amazement at a job yesterday that had a new boiler and the bonding was all ok (Gas and Water, the main earthing conductor wasn’t 16mm but it was an old board), that prompted this post.
Why don’t they teach & assess bonding as part of the Gas Safe Scheme or should we just keep quiet and benefit from the remedial work.
