Hi All

Cheers

The book you will need for the course are

On Site Guide ISBN 978 0 86341 854 9
BS 7671 ISBN 978 0 86341 844 0

The on site guide will give you a lot of information in a readible fashion BS 7671 is more of a heavy duty read. Check with your course provider to see if they supply the books you need. Pointless buying the same books twice and can you let us know what course you are doing so we can better advise you for what you are doing ie domestic or commercial.

Best of luck

hi mate you doing the course at College so there will be copies of Most electrical book in the college library.

i have the Trevor Linsey, Basic and advanced electrical books plus both of his Calculation books on my PC which are really great and have tests at the end of each section. TheHut.com: Basic Electrical Installation Work Books - Trevor Linsley

also the book that will really help you on the Course is the JTL Electrical installations NVQ and Tech Cert book 1 as it shows you how to understand the course units and also shows you how to do the Practical side of the Course like how to bend steel conduit/strip SWA cable etc

im doing the course my self at my local college

Thanks for the info,

It would be great if you would be able to E-mail me the books from your PC? they are quite expensive from that site

How far are you into your course? how are you finding it etc?

but yer the Course is going better than i expected got a distinction in my 1st unit and got my 2nd exam next wednesday and as long as you study even though theres no actual Course work to take home it would be Advisable to study at home as well and use Practice question sites like Swindon Massive and Smart Screen .Your tutor will most definatly recommend and use those 2 sites too
