Nights = project time. I worked with a Geordie fitter, ex pit, there was nothing we couldn’t tackle.
I took voluntary redundancy from a major company, my contract was a bit of a problem. I had to work 6 months notice as I’d been there that long. This was reduced to 3 months by agreement. But would I mind doing permanent nights for those three months. Mind? I near snatched their hands off, the shift premium would boost my redundancy and I got paid to sleep for three months! I was supposed to take care of breakdowns but the plant operators had more sense than wake the Grinch from his slumbers.
