just boerd thought would see what you think is the most boring electrical jobs pat testing? Or whats most unpleasent crawling around insulation covered lofts. any ideas welcome just curious in any field indus/domstic/comercial.

I dislike working on anything attached to a ceiling, especially when there is hardly any slack on the cables and the wires are about an inch long and you are practically licking the ceiling trying to terminate them.

Invigilating exams.
Second fixing endless basic white plastics.
Initial verification of my own work.

PAT could actually be very interesting if people did it properly.

dunno how to start a poll but the majority think that pat testing is most boring am i right and most unpleasent depends on wot sector you work in really.

Taking phone call after phone call from engineers wanting reassurance before they do everything...

"Can you just give me some pointers"
YES, go and actually look at what you've been sent to do first it's probably far easier than you are dreading, then if you have a problem ring up.

Some years ago I worked for a firm, and being one of the older sparks it was decided to give me a "cushy" job once a month, what that involved was going to the nursing home's we maintained and putting plugs on new appliances. The old dears would get new items brought in,radio's, tv's etc and if these items did not have plugs on they had to be fitted by an electrician,a full day of fitting plugs used to drive me insane,so much for a "cushy" job.
