I have put a new consumer in there is x2 lighting circuits up and down I have to put the circuits on separate mcb's but up stairs 2way has pinched a feed from the downstairs circuit, what can I do? Is it ok to put a sticker on the board to inform people?

youv got 2 seperate supplies....you would need to note it on any paperwork + sticker in affected enclosures....

On a test sheet or circuit chart you could maybe note that the upstairs light is on with the downstairs circuit. This could save people from isolating the upstairs circuit and getting a shock when working on that light. Its either that or rewire the feed from upstairs

Tweegs from what i can gather, then is this the normal 2 gang switch in hallway and you have line linked from comm to comm over to landing side of switch and then the landing light is using upstairs neutral. You have also wired up new consumer unit with up and down lights on one rcd (assuming dual rcd CU).

if this is all correct then you need to either put both ccts onto one circuit breaker (safety for anyone working on the circuits) and class it as one circuit, or youll be quoting the customer for a bit of rewiring.

This is a electricians forum, posters on here should know about electrical circuits and the way they are distributed around a house. if they don't, they shouldn't be working as a electrician
A electrician would never need to ask this question!

Is this a borrowed neutral on the landing light or something else?......more info needed.

sounds like the line feed is from the downstairs circuit. so both circuits need to be put on the same RCD. it is advised to put them on ther same breaker as well for safety reasons. otherwise, rewire the 2 way light and switches.

Electric will we know its not correct but when the customer doesn't want his walls chased what are you left with? 2 circuits in 1 mcb or info on the board and Certs, is info sufficient??

put both into the same MCB. they then become 1 circuit. the only non-compliance then is that you have no division of the lighting circuits. bit loke british leyland. one out-all out.
